This camp will focus on the wonder of the world around us, and explore the importance of the marshes and ocean that make Cape Ann so important to all of us. The emphasis will be on Marine Science while we continue to utilize all of the Project Adventure tools to have fun working as a group to study our Carbon Footprint, fish spewing in the depths of the marshes, and the concerns over invasive species.
Adventure Sea campers travel frequently by bus to different places such as Stage Fort Park , Wingaersheek Beach, Halibut Point State Park, Plum Cove Beach, Red Rock, Seven Seas Whale Watch, Good Harbor Beach, Niles Beach, Ravenswood Park, Dogtown, Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center , Ten Pound Island, Stone Pier and Ram Island.
Adventure Sea utilizes a wide array of Project Adventure activities. Games and trust activities are combined with climbing events, hiking, tide pooling, marsh studies, birding, orienteering, and dory rowing. Our typical day runs 9AM – 3PM.
