My sister Ruthanne (Rufus Collinson) introduced me to Jim and Nicole many years ago. She spoke so highly of them, and I could immediately see why. I remember talking to Jim when I visited Ruthanne at Project Adventure. To engage in conversation with him was a wonderful adventure in itself. I had the good fortune of being in both Jim and Nicole's company with Ruthanne at get-togethers and at their home. They have given to the Gloucester community in countless extraordinary ways.

I knew Jim through my work at the Gloucester Public School and later when my wife and I moved to the same neighborhood. It was with great admiration that we chatted with Jim and. heard the tales of his activities with the Gloucester youth he so enjoyed to share his love of nature with. He was a genuine giver and upbeat lovely man.

My favorite memory of Jim is his trombone playing in the annual Woodbury St July 4th parade! Jim and crew would stroll to the cottage near the end of the street and serenade our neighbor with Amazing Grace. Our condolences to Jim’s family and friends. Such a remarkable spirit.

Jim had me as student at the Museum School down the fort 1977-78 school year. He saved me from total destruction. He turned my soul around and taught me how to survive myself. Jim has a special place in my heart,and I told him that every time I seen him. I will never forget him and I tell my story of his impact on my life.❤️
